The hit ABC comedy “Abbott Elementary” will be back for another school year. The Alphabet network confirmed Monday that the acclaimed laffer workplace, from Warner Bros. TV and 20th Television, has been revamped for second grade, also known as Season 2.

Quinta Brunson created and starred in “Abbott Elementary,” which takes place in a public school in Philadelphia and focuses on a group of educators, with varying levels of experience and optimism, but all with a determination to help their students.

The revamp was ironically revealed via a “memo” from “Abbott Elementary” principal Ava Coleman (played by Janelle James), the self-centered and often inappropriate (and slightly deaf) head teacher who oversees the show’s dedicated – and overworked – teachers. Look down:

Brunson plays Janine Teagues; the cast also includes Tyler James Williams as Gregory Eddie, Janelle James as Ava Coleman, Chris Perfetti as Jacob Hill, Lisa Ann Walter as Melissa Schemmenti and Sheryl Lee Ralph as Barbara Howard. Brunson is writer and executive producer alongside Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker of Delicious Non-Sequitur Productions.

In his review of the show, variety TV critic Caroline Framke wrote, “ABC’s new sitcom manages to feel fully formed right from the start. From comedian Quinta Brunson, “Abbott Elementary” does a quick job introducing its setting (an underfunded Philadelphia school), the characters (the frustrated teachers trying to make it work), and the intangible sense of history and possibilities that maintain any show. compelling beyond its logline. “

“Abbott Elementary” became ABC’s most popular new comedy in two years among adults aged 18 to 49, and currently ranks as the # 1 comedy of the season in the demo, alongside another rookie, “Ghosts. “of CBS.

After 35 days of viewing via linear and digital, the December premiere of the first two episodes of “Abbott Elementary” averaged 9 million viewers and a score of 2.93 on the demo. The comedy continues to grow; his most recent episode, on February 22, became his second most watched episode ever, only after the premiere of the January hit streak.

“Abbott Elementary” returns with new episodes on Tuesday March 22nd at 9pm with “Open House”. Here is the logline: “It’s an outdoor night at Abbott Elementary, and as Janine prepares to meet her struggling student’s mother, the rest of the faculty uses the time to relax. Gregory is reprimanded when he learns how Ava got the main job and, later on, Barbara’s daughter’s visit creates a stir in more ways than one.
