Following an appraisal process following the exercise by the Galeries Lafayette Group of the put option on the 50% held in the LaSer Group, BNP Paribas Personal Finance (PF) is now a 100% shareholder of the LaSer Group. This transaction received the approval of the European competition authorities and the Supervisory Supervisory and Resolution Authority.

The Boards of Directors of Groupe LaSer and LaSer Cofinoga, which met on 28 July 2014, appointed Thierry Laborde, in addition to his responsibilities as Chairman and CEO of BNP Paribas Personal Finance, as Chairman of Groupe LaSer and LaSer Cofinoga. Laurent David has been appointed, in addition to his responsibilities, as Chief Operating Officer of BNP Paribas Personal Finance, Chief Executive Officer of the LaSer Group and of LaSer Cofinoga.

Biography of Thierry Laborde

Thierry Laborde is President and CEO of BNP Paribas Personal Finance and member of the Executive Committee of the BNP Paribas Group. Since 2008 he has been CEO of BNP Paribas Personal Finance and member of the executive committee of BNP Paribas Retail Banking. Previously, Thierry Laborde spent his entire career in retail banking in France, apart from a four-year stint as inspector general at BNP Paribas, including two as head of mission.

Subsequently, he managed the BNP Paribas plants in Alsace, then the one in South-East France to finally assume responsibility for the Local Retail Banking Networks in France in 2006. Thierry Laborde has a degree in Economics.

Biography of Laurent David

Laurent David is Deputy Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas Personal Finance. He joined the BNP Paribas group in 2002 within Cardif as head of planning and management control, then director of the Cardif France network and partnerships in France, member of the Executive Committee. Laurent David then joined the International Retail Banking division in 2007 as “Chief Operating Officer”. Since 2009 he has been Chief Executive Officer of Findomestic, a subsidiary of BNP Paribas Personal Finance in Italy, and led the 2010-2012 industrial transformation plan. Laurent David began his career at the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry in 1995. He was subsequently assigned to the Ministry of Industry in Lower Normandy before joining the Directorate General for Taxation and then, from 2000 in 2002 in the offices of Florence Parly and Laurent Fabio as a technical consultant. Laurent David is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and a mining engineer.
