Sustainable and flexible production processes at the BMW Group headquarters in Dingolfing

The global launch of the new BMW 7 Series will begin in November 2022. Thus, 45 years after the debut of the first BMW 7 Series, the seventh generation of the series will also be produced at the BMW Group headquarters in Dingolfing (Germany).

At this factory, the 100% electric, thermal and plug-in hybrid variants are all built on the same assembly line. The Dingolfing plant also produces electric motors and high-voltage batteries for the BMW i7. Like the supply chain, the Dingolfing site increasingly relies on green electricity for production.

Furthermore, the strictly controlled selection of raw materials and the extensive use of secondary raw materials allow the new BMW 7 Series to make a significant contribution to the manufacturer’s ambitious sustainability goals.
