Woman and businesswoman: a glass ceiling still very present More and more women want to set up their own business. 63% think this is more motivating than being an employee and 22% feel the need to train and be able to benefit from the advice of entrepreneurs. On the other hand, another study conducted by the Lab’Bouge ta Boîte showed that 61% of female leaders did not come up with a comprehensive business plan when setting up their company. Building your business plan is essential, however, and the support of a franchisor like O2 automatically goes through this process.
45% of the affiliates are women
With 45% of women franchises, female entrepreneurship is a reality at O2. As part of the Oui Care group’s global policy, the O2 brand is multiplying its initiatives to promote female entrepreneurship, particularly through franchising. Over the past few years, 16 O2 employees have broken through the glass ceiling to become business leaders by opening their own franchise. They benefited from dedicated support with the “J’entrepreneurs avec O2” program dedicated to employees of the brand who aspire to become entrepreneurs within the network. O2 aims to strongly increase the percentage of female franchisees, which now stands at 45% of the brand’s total number of franchisees.
“For me, being a woman is not an obstacle to entrepreneurship, to tell the truth I haven’t done it either. I was wondering more about financial difficulties. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, I’ve always been told that the most important thing is to know if I have the skills and the desire to do so “. testifies Aurélie Bruno-Nougayrol, O2 multi-franchise in Coulommiers and Meaux.
