The UFC recently announced its partnership with Fitness Coach. This collaboration brought new content to the platform and we tested it for you.
The recent announcement of the partnership between fitness trainer and the UFC moved the app to Ultimate mode. Already established as the # 1 fitness app in 2020, Fitness Coach has brought new content with exercises from Cyril Gane and of Francesco Ngannou on the app.
When we launch the application for the first time, we are offered a kind of diagnosis of our state of form. Weight, height, activity, level, goal and even boxing guard are required for custom workouts. This is also a great strength of the Fitness Coach: we feel supported and we are guided on the path to success. At La Sueur, we decided to increase muscle mass by focusing specifically on the back, chest and legs. Once all this diagnostic and objective part has been completed, it’s time to get to work, taking care to select the Ultimate mode.
Once you get to the heart of the application, 3 sections are available. Part of the plan, part of the library and part of the challenges. The part of the training plan directly offers us a session of the day with the possibility of adding additional sessions for the more adventurous. Our steps and water consumption for the day can also be entered on this page. Once the session has started, a coach guides us through the exercises to follow. This “Athena III” session offers a 4-minute warm-up followed by a 16-minute session comprising several exercises focusing primarily on the lower body.
ON THE SAME TOPIC:
196 kcal burned later, we want more and select an additional session. Then we find our national Ciryl Gane for a “Powerfull Kick The HIIT” session. On the program, 11 minutes of intense exercises adapted to MMA. Punches and kicks are incorporated into the classic exercises to give a more intense workout. We also find relatively advanced boxing drills that allow us to repeat some of our core boxing matches. The “Bon Gamin” had us this time and it is breathless that we evaluate the difficulty of this session. Indeed, after each session a point is made on the difficulties encountered and on our final state of form.
It is not in a single session that we go around Fitness Coach and it is pleasant to see the wealth of exercises at our disposal. You can also compose your session yourself by selecting the duration, focus areas and difficulty of the session. The addition of the “challenge” in 30 days is a plus that guides us in a month of work on an exercise (push up, rope jump or climbers).
In conclusion, we feel a real personalized following to our sporting goal thanks to Fitness Coach. This largely indicates other apps of the same genre where precise tracking is rarely provided to achieve our goal. The richness of the application interface offers a plurality of exercises and sessions to never get tired of the contents offered. Finally, the integration of specific boxing or MMA exercises is significant and brings real added value to the application.
